My God shall supply all your needs

On Sunday preaching through Genesis 13, we saw how Abram trusted God with his livelihood and we were challenged to walk by faith and not by sight. This mornings devotional reading is very good with many promises and reminders of God's provision for us and our calling to seek him and his kingdom and righteousness.

Remember Nimrod?

Nimrod had basically a one world government concept. The people of the world were of one language and they wanted to make a name for themselves. The Bible tells us that God confused their languages and forced scattering all over the earth. This essentially formed the nations of the world. The Bible also tells us that the antichrist will have world domination and will operate from a one world government position. A one world economic system and a one world religion are necessary for this to 'work'.

Abraham the father of our faith

This next week we will be studying Genesis 11 and 12. Here we find the story of Abraham. God called him to leave all that he knew and go to a land that God would show him. This morning I was reading "My Utmost for His Highest" by Oswald Chambers and the devotional was about Abraham. It is well worth reading. You can click on the link below to read it.

Pray with me

It was GREAT to arrive at Mathis Field and see Wendy, Kyra, David and Katie there to welcome me home! Man - did I ever miss my family while I was in Lahore.

The busy streets of Lahore were a great adventure, but it is also a stark reminder of all the millions of people all over the world that do not yet know Jesus Christ. Our task is to make him known to the nations.

Please pray with me about continuing the work in Pakistan. Before we left we met with church leaders there about next spring. Not only do we want to have multiple evangelistic crusades, but we also want to support indigenous pastors and evangelists in their day to day work of making disciples. We would like to help them to plant more churches in the villages where there are not churches. Because of the volatile situation there, few outside groups are going to the area. Yet, we find that Jesus has given us an OPEN DOOR.

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Revelation 3:8
