Bridge Illustration

Also called "One Verse Evangelism"' this is a simple way of sharing the gospel. We discussed this on Wednesday night a week ago. Here is a link to a file that shows the bridge and discusses it.

Growing Government Instead of Families

A new study based on US Census data indicates that since the '60's, married households with children is only 20.2%.  This article is worth the read:

American's Declining Urge to Marry

Right now and for the coming weeks, the men of our church are focusing on our value of "What the Bible Says about Marriage".  Marriage is God's idea and was begun in the garden with the very first man and his wife.  Marriage and family are the basic building blocks of society.  If you destroy marriage, you destroy the family.  If you destroy the family, you destroy the society.

Pakistan Blasphemy Laws Used to Target Bible

Please pray for believers in Pakistan.  There is a group that is trying to either edit portions of the Bible or ban it completely from the country.  Why would they do this?  Because it contradicts the Koran.

Visitng Heaven and Hell

It seems there are a lot of people who supposedly visit heaven and hell and come back to tell us they are real.  Here is the latest:

Former Non-Christian: My Time in Hell

I recently read a good article on Biblical discernment from the Berean Call discussing this matter.  It is worth your time to read it.

Discipleship

Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Notice that Jesus says to go and do something.

James 1:22

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Here is a link to a must-read article on discipleship that goes a long way to sum up the discipleship strategy of our church.

Americans and Universalism

What Americans Believe about Universalism and Pluralism is a new update by the Barna Group.  It is an interesting study on what Americans believe about other faiths and our responsibility to share the message of Jesus with others.

As you read it look at the percentage of Americans believe that Christians and Muslims worship the same God even though their faiths teach very different things about him.  Interesting!

Wednesday night

A trip to see the new church plant was the first item on our agenda Wednesday night. As you can see from the picture, the walls are not finished. This is the second church that has been planted in a village outside Pattoki. The crowd was estimated at over 12,000 Wednesday night. It was a wonderful time in the Lord and even though the most exciting Cricket match in years was being played in Mohali, the people came out to hear from the Lord and to meet Jesus. Many thousands professed faith in Jesus Christ.

Praise the Lord!

Tuesday night response to the gospel

Tuesday Night

A Huge Night!

Tonight we saw a huge crowd completely fill the soccer field for the meeting. It is hard to tell from this picture, but upwards of 7000 people were in attendance tonight. I preached from John 3 and invited those who wanted to experience the 'new birth' to stand. Thousands professed faith in Jesus Christ tonight!

Praise the Lord! The harvest truly is plentiful!

Saturday night worship

This is the worship time at the beginning of Saturday nights crusade.

Pakistan

All is good in Pakistan! We have preached two nights in a town called Youngson Abad. The first night people were a bit apprehensive and there were only five or six thousand in attendance. The Lord allowed us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them and thousands responded saying they want to follow Jesus.

The second night was an overflow crowd with people standing all around. There were at least ten thousand people there and once again as Christ was lifted up, thousands came to know him.

The buses were so full that most of them had people riding on top! We are in good hands as the security forces patrol he grounds and all attendees have to pass through a metal detector. We thank God for your prayers and ask you to continue!
